A lot of people want to switch out their cosmetic products or products in general, but don’t really know what to switch them out for, or are too hesitant to make the switch due to thinking that these commercial products that they use are far superior to any other products, and more so compared to more natural products.

The main reason for this hesitancy, is because the manufacturers and brands of those products have spent millions of dollars on marketing and advertising campaigns to ensure that their items become well known and ‘trusted’ to be ‘superior’, regardless of whether they actually work or contain detrimental chemicals.

The issue of marketing and truth of what they are actually selling is for another article though, so in this post I am going to highlight a few routine body cosmetic products that I used to use, and what I have replaced them with now. The replacements being far more environmentally friendly and reduce tremendous amounts of waste, especially over the months and years.

By making even just one switch you can easily reduce your carbon footpprint. By doing so you can:

  • Reduce so much waste. Think of all those plastic bottles and packaging you will not be throwing away!
  • Reduce your exposure to harsh and harmful chemicals through your skin.
  • Support small and local sustainable businesses.
